Journal - So why?

For the last 10 years or so, Instagram has been my Journal… It’s where I post photos of may family, days out, things i see. There’s little structure or logic to my posts - just what I happen to like at that particular moment in time.

Every year I’ll use an online service (Pastbooks for its ease) to download, compile my year into a photo book and print out. I’d get rid of the hashtags, short description etc …I’m really not one for long descriptives, just the moments.

Now as Instagram gets updated I’m finding that I get more adverts, more reels, more video…but I just like photos.

I’m still not intending to write a huge amount. It’s not something that come naturally to me but hopefully the photos are strong enough to stand alone. Or a least allow me to compile into an album once a year!
