Woodworking - Part 2

So the second of two woodworking lessons. Last week the box was glued, clamped and left in the care of Perth Wood School.

This week we had to

• drill and glue the dowels,

• cut, finish and glue the inserts for the lid to sit.

• Cut, sand , route and sand again the lid.

• Sand, sand and a bit more sanding of the outside of the box

• Use Tung oil liberally all over the box to finish it off.

It was a bit of a rush to fit all this into three hours but I’m really pleased with the outcome. Book me up for the Shaker table next!
